Melania Trump was recently mocked on Twitter after she shared a series of tweets amid the coronavirus outbreak.
“Be sure to listen to your state and local officials and follow CDC guidelines. If you can, stay home and quarantine so we can stop the spread of COVID-19! We can beat this together,” she wrote on Friday.
The FLOTUS also gave a shoutout to military families during these unusual times.
“There are various resources available – such as free online tutoring and homework for US military and their children provided by the US Department of Defense and Coast Guard Mutual Assistance,” she posted on Saturday.
Hours later, the first lady encouraged students to continue learning while schools are suspended.
“Even though some of our National Parks @NatlParkService are currently but temporarily closed, students can still learn about and virtually visit some of our country’s great national parks online,” Melania tweeted.
But even though the FLOTUS’s tweets are all positive and inspiring, her critics took them as an opportunity to mock her and her husband, Donald Trump.
“Where are the tests? Send Airforce One to China to get tests, masks, and protective gear. Our healthcare workers are running out,” Twitter user @LbudisaLila said.
“Definitely don’t listen to @realDonaldTrump,” Twitter user @JasonCT said.
“If your husband can stay home and away from all the technology that would be great. Thanks,” Twitter user @KnightLife360 said.
“And please remember to stop the next crisis, we need a president who is not incompetent, so vote accordingly. Thank you,” Twitter user @evan_eggers said.
“I really don’t care, do you?” Twitter user @patrickmkcirtap said.
Meanwhile, some supporters of the FLOTUS also tried to praise her for everything that she has been trying to do amid the global health pandemic.
“Thank you for your care and concern for us, the American people and people around the world. We continue to pray for you and your family even more so these days. May you be safe, healthy, and blessed,” Twitter user @tamil17522831 said.
